But finally here at 18 weeks, you can see the belly even with clothes covering it, and I'm up about 3 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. Hooray! I checked out a bunch of books from the library about eating healthy when you're expecting, and for a while there reading them made me feel so guilty. I could hardly keep anything down, the foods that sounded good weren't exactly healthy and fluids were a real struggle. I felt like I was permanently screwing up my baby because of how I was eating.
But now that I'm feeling better, I've been focusing on eating a variety of foods, and making sure I get my fruits, veggies, whole grains, and water every day (among other things...but those are the things I wasn't getting enough of before). Even with my raging appetite every hour and half all day long, I don't feel guilty filling up because I'm filling up on nutritious calories. I finally feel great physically and emotionally I'm at peace with my responsibility to feed this baby. Wahoo. Plus I think Chris has enjoyed having such a variety of healthy snacks around, too.
Big thanks to Jules Bunny for expanding my maternity wardrobe by this cute pink shirt and a giant rubbermaid tub of adorable maternity clothes. I think I'm set for a good long while!

I'm glad that you guys feel good :). You look great! Like a glowing mommy! (and such a pretty color on you too!). Just wait until you can feel movement...there is no other feeling like it! So exciting!
I was looking at pictures of when Logan was first born and my nails were like dragon lady nails (but they were mine)! Since I have stopped taking them my nails have gone back their thin brittle selves. Those prenatal vitamins really are something else! lol I miss being preggy. Such a blessed feeling! :)
YOU ARE SO PRETTY GIRLY YOU LOOK AWESOME! I CANT WAIT FOR A LITTLE BUDDY FOR B MAN! YOU LOOK AWESOME!
Don't feel guilty about eating bad. I think that I only ate chocolate when I was pregnant with Marci, and she turned out fine. You are so cute!
You look so cute! I didn't start showing until about 20 weeks or so either. Don't worry about the eating thing-my doctor has never worried about our baby's health despite the fact that I feel so sick, I often skip meals or eat hardly anything! Not good, but when you feel that way, it's hard to force yourself to eat. The healthy stuff though tastes the best! I eat fruit more than anything else :)
That is awesome that you are borrowing Julie's maternity clothes! Maternity clothes are so expensive, plus if anyone has super cute clothing, it would be Julie!
