And yes, we are THAT family that lets their child run through them in just a diaper. But we usually stick to the back yard, if that's any consolation.
We got a little more serious about our garden this year than we have in years past. After three failed attempts at growing our own tomatoes, Chris enlisted the help of his friend Sam to make things happen. And it's looking great so far!
We have an Early Girl tomato plant...
A Roma tomato plant...
Another variety I can't remember...
And a tomatillo plant...
Plus a Zucchini plant... (I highly recommend the Chocolate Zucchini Bread recipe from the Our Best Bites cookbook!)
And we've got four pepper plants. Our tomatoes have been a little slow to come on but we've had real live homegrown crop from our own yard already and it's amazing! I don't know what it is about tomatoes fresh from the yard, but they can't be beat.

Aww, that is so cute! Playtime and gardening thanks to the sprinkler, ha ha. I'm sure your kid and the garden are very happy with that. It's a good thing you take your garden seriously. It can be a lot of fun with lots of hard work.
