Happy Easter

The Easter bunny came to our house this year. And the best part was, he left NO candy whatsoever. Hooray!  He brought jammies and toys for the kids, chips for dad and Les Miserables for mom. Plus Grandma Spencer bought the kiddos each a cute outfit. We were spoiled this year!

Henry really got the hang of hunting for eggs this year. I color coded the eggs and hid Henry's down low and Emme's up higher. But of course when Henry spotted one of Emme's he wanted it, no matter what color it was.

Checking out their baskets.

Emme modeling her new summer jammies.

Henry's CUTE new outfit from Grandma Spencer.

On the hunt! Henry spies an easter egg.

It didn't take Henry long to figure out the good stuff was INSIDE the eggs. Henry's all had little animal figures inside of them, and Emme's all had coins (of course).

Happy Easter morning! Don't mind my wet hair.

Before church we snuck in a picture of the kids in their outfits. Henry was a sad boy. You would be too if you had to be woken up from your nap for 1:00 PM church.

Big sister made him feel better.

Such little cuties.

It was so sunny outside that we grabbed another picture inside on the couch for good measure. (And we were still on time for church, thankyouverymuch!)

We had such a great Easter this year! I taught sharing time that day, so maybe it was just because I had time during the week to really think about the Savior and study his life, but my heart was so full that day.  We are so blessed! I'm so grateful for a savior that suffered and died for us, and then was resurrected so that we might also be.

Easter Festivities

Emme and I colored Easter eggs one day while Henry was napping. She's my little artist!

She wanted to write names on the eggs, so we made an egg for all of the special people in her life. She had cousins, grandparents, mom & dad, henry, neighbors and friends on her eggs.  We could have used another two dozen eggs and still filled them with names. What a sweet girl!

The day before Easter we had a get together with the Pace side of the family. We had a feast and then did an egg hunt for the kiddos. They had a great time!

After church on Easter day we had dinner and an egg hunt with Grandma & Grandpa Spencer and the Spencer family. I was bad and didn't get any pictures. (I always feel like I've been run over by a semi-truck by the time we get out of church at 4:00PM!) Emme & Henry once again LOVED hunting for the eggs. Such a fun day!

Date Night

Chris and I went to a play at Pioneer Theater Company. We got up to the U a little early so we could walk around and check out all the changes up on campus. We hadn't been there in so long! It was fun to walk through the remodeled library and see the buildings where we first had classes together.

Then afterwards we sat on the front row and saw The Odd Couple at Pioneer Theater Company. It was such a fun night! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Spencer for babysitting!

Escape Artist

Think this boy has spring fever? He's figured out how to open the front door (I think the handle must be lower than our other interior doors), so if I don't keep it locked he pulls it open and takes off out the front door. Yikes!

Helper

We came home from St. George and had mounds of laundry to do that day. I turned my back for two seconds and came back to this. Such a stinker!

Airplane

St. George

We went on a little weekend getaway to St. George with our friends, the Whitney's. The drive down was great, once Bubba realized we were in it for the long haul and relaxed enough to fall asleep. Emme watched two whole movies on the ipad mounted to the back of my seat and Chris and I got to sit and chat for a few hours. Such luxury!

Once we got down there, we had a blast. The kiddos loved having baths in the huge tub.

We also witnessed a pushup contest between Kelli and Jeremy. It was freaking awesome. I won't say who won, but let's just say Kelli is a freaking rockstar.

Jaycee and Henry kept crawling into the bathroom to convince us to let them have another bath.

We went downtown and walked around by the splash pad and such. It was such nice weather compared to Salt Lake!

Afterwards we went to Iceberg for shakes. Jaycee enjoyed hers most of all.

Emme doing bicycle crunches with Jillian Michaels and I. It was a luxury to have time enough in the morning to do a 30 minute exercise video every day!

Jeremy and Chris went biking two of the days we were down there. Here's a cute "selfie" they took while riding.

One night we went to a mongolian barbecue for dinner. The people were so nice and made cute little rigged up chopsticks for all the kids. Emme did pretty good eating with hers. After dinner we hit up the outlets and did some shopping for spring clothes for the kiddos.

One day we went swimming with the kiddos at the rec center. Cambree and Henry were daredevils and loved the big water slide!

Kelli and I got pedicures one day and then we hit up Target and the dollar store to buy Les Miserables and finish up purchases for the kiddos easter baskets. It was great fun. We also convinced the men to watch a few movies with us at night after the kidlets went to sleep. All in all, it was a great, relaxing weekend!

On the way home Emme was coming down with a cold so she slept most of the way and Henry napped as well. Perfect ending to a great little vacation.

Thanks, Whitneys for such a fun week!

The Buzz

Chris has been begging me to let him buzz Henry's hair for months now. I finally gave in when his hair was getting a little long. And I instantly regretted it. He looks like such a big boy with it cut for some reason! It made me miss my baby. :(
