Tracy Aviary

 We bought a Pass of All Passes this year so Emme & Henry & I could go splash around at Raging Waters this summer. As part of the pass, we also get in free to Tracy Aviary every Monday. I hadn't been since I was tiny, so we decided to give it a go and check it out.

Emme LOVED it. It was much bigger and cleaner and nicer than I remembered it being. They even have picnic tables set up at various places in the park where you can pack a lunch and sit & eat and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We will definitely be going again!

We saw Eagles, flamingos, swans, ducks, owls, the Swoop bird (the U of U mascot), and lots, lots more. Emme absolutely loved it.

 

Right before we were about to take this picture of Emme as a parrot, we had a near-miss with some bird poop! We were standing under a tree that was probably 100 feet tall when all of a sudden, a large amount of a white, liquid-sounding substance splattered on the sidewalk right next to us, and splashed our legs & shoes. Ewwww! Thank heavens I had a diaper bag with wet wipes in it. It was so gross, but could have been so much worse!
